WESTERN SLAV. a set of imitations of OAP denarii from the 10th-11th century, bent, verdigris or cracked, 3 pieces in total, among them an extremely interesting combination of an imitation of a Saxon denarius of Otto III (OAP type) with an imitation of a Bavarian denarius of Henry II (a cross with two circles and two triple balls in the corners) The above-described combination of imitations of two denarii from a completely different region of Germany - Bavaria and Saxony in the era when these two lands (actually two ruling families in these lands) fought with each other for dominance in the German Reich - confronting with research from the last several years regarding Bolesław the Brave's denarii of the VIDV type (copy from Wiślica and WCN 60:114) - give reason to believe that this denarius may come from the same hands as the imitative denarii attributed to Chrobry. So far, the lack of publications on this subject allows only guessing this fact.
